Northern NSW Football conducts Australia Cup Southern Conference preliminary fifth round draw

Northern NSW Football has conducted the draw for its Southern Conference round five of the Australia Cup 2024.

The draw was broadcast live on Friday morning, with 13 teams from across the football community involved in the draw, representing the Southern Conference. 

Southern Conference round five matches will be played on the weeks commencing on the 6th and 13th of May. 

Zone League One club Kotara South FC will travel to Pasadena Oval to face Zone League Two side Newcastle Croatia FC. 

NPLM NNSW clubs Cooks Hill and Newcastle Olympic will go head-to-head while Lake Macquarie City FC will travel to Magic Park to play Broadmeadow Magic. 

The winner of Hit106.9 Northern League One club Cessnock City Hornets and NPLM NNSW side Adamstown Rosebud will host face reigning NPLM NNSW premiers and champions Lambton Jaffas.  

NPL NNSW sides Charlestown Azzurri FC will make the trip to Cooks Square Park to take on Maitland FC, while Edgeworth FC will host Valentine FC. 

There are seven knockout rounds to decide the two NNSWF representatives that qualify for the national round of 32.   

The two national round representatives will also play off in the NNSWF State Cup final to crown a NNSWF cup champion. The best-performing community team from the Northern Zone will also face off against the best-performing community team from the Southern Zone for the Community State Plate.
