Our commitment to you 
We’re committed to providing the football community in northern NSW with a first-class Sports Insurance program while keeping registrations affordable. We do this through a shared national insurance plan across all member federations to keep costs down, but still provide basic levels of cover for players and other team members. However, it does not cover everything. 

We do recommend all players and official take out their own private health insurance and life insurance over and above the coverage provided under this plan. Our insurance brokers Gow-Gates can assist with other insurance requirements. 

About the National Insurance Policy (NIP)

Football Australia has a National Insurance Policy to ensure a consistent minimum level of coverage and benefits for all football participants in Northern NSW and Australia. 

Through the NIP, all registered players, match officials and other non-playing officials, such as committee members, team managers, coaches and trainers, are covered. It provides Sports Personal Injury insurance, Public Liability & Professional Indemnity as well as Club Management Liability insurance coverage. 

Football Australia has appointed Gow-Gates as insurance brokers. They oversee all aspects of delivery and preparation of risk management sessions and materials and provide Certificates of Currency for clubs. They also provide other information and management of the claims process through a dedicated football insurance website so that Players & Club Administrators throughout Australia have immediate access to the policy benefits and procedures of the insurance program.
