Football Australia works closely with its member federations to implement bespoke Talent Support Programs (TSP) as part of the National Talented Player Pathway. These programs provide a value-add supplementary training alongside regular club training to our most talented female and male youth players.
Northern NSW Football is committed to implementing a state-wide series of TSP hubs. Importantly, TSPs will be delivered locally across our region through the establishment of five TSP hubs encompassing metropolitan and regional northern NSW including:
- Hunter Region
- Mid North Coast
- Northern Inland
- North Coast
- Far North Coast
TSP is part of Northern NSW Football’s talented player pathway and provides an environment for our identified talented footballers to be a part of a high performance, player centered learning environment that helps progress players through the pathway towards professional football. TSP will also provide players with opportunities to represent Northern NSW Football at domestic tournaments such as National Youth Championships and National Training Centre (NTC) Challenge along with overseas tours.
TSP is an invitation only program for the most talented players. Trials for TSPs will only be conducted in special circumstances and will not occur at all in most instances.
TSPs also provide players with opportunities to represent Northern NSW Football at National Youth Championships and potentially transition from NPL to A-League academies.
There are four cycles per year:
- Cycle 1 - October to December
- Cycle 2 - January to April
- Cycle 3 - April to June
- Cycle 4 - July to September
