Skill Acquisition Program (SAP)

The NCF Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) is designed to provide players with a high-quality introduction to structured football development in a positive and supportive environment.

SAP is an individual player development program, focused on building the technical and decision-making abilities required for players to progress within the NCF pathway and beyond.

Program Overview

SAP is aimed at players aged U10–U12 and represents the foundation stage of the NCF talent pathway.

The program provides:

  • Structured, age-appropriate training sessions
  • A strong focus on individual player development

πŸ”· 2027 Program Structure

NCF has made the decision to take a further step towards a more elite and focused approach within the SAP program.

For 2027:

  • U10: Maximum of 18 players selected
  • U11 & U12: Maximum of 20 players selected per age group
  • Each age group will have 2 dedicated coaches
  • Program runs from February to August
  • 2 training sessions per week (excluding school holidays) – Monday & Wednesday 4:15pm to 5:30pm

 

Program Fee (2027)

SAP program fee for 2027 will be:

$990

  • Training kit will be purchased separately through the NCF Club Shop
  • All SAP players have a $50 discount for each holiday clinic with North Coast Football

Individual Development Focus

The SAP program is not based on team performance outcomes, but on developing each player as an individual.

It is designed to prepare players for future progression, including potential selection into the PYL program.

NCF expects all players to:

  • Demonstrate commitment and consistency
  • Train with focus and intensity
  • Take responsibility for their own improvement
  • Work towards progression within the NCF pathway

SAP is the foundation of the NCF talent pathway and plays a key role in preparing players for progression into future programs.
